Overview

The most recent iteration of the Buckle Youth Campaign is currently in development and potentially live as you read this. Buckle Youth continues to evolve with the overall Buckle brand with simplified branding but really intentional differentiations to ensure a youthful, playful look and feel that attracts parents and kids alike.

Toolkit

Over the years of Buckle Youth I had introduced a variety of graphic and color palette options, and that stayed consistent with this spring/summer application. Instead of a true doodle/graphic element, though, I worked with our Art Director on a concept around color and angles being utilized in the backdrop. This still gave us dimension and variation without additional post-production work for the team. A spring/summer colorway was introduced through backdrops and design elements from there while fonts were kept consistent to what was utilized within holiday.

Signage

Signage needs are a major focus of the youth photoshoots, making them a top priority for design. With a simplification of the graphic elements and introducing color into the background we were able to keep with a clean aesthetic and really allow the photography to speak for itself in the windows.

Table signs also were kept clean with a smaller branded logo placement, but a continued focus on sizing and brands as a whole.

Digital Marketing

Buckle Youth is a smaller business priority as a whole within the spring/summer timeframe, but still involved in the overall product mix. With that in mind, digital marketing touchpoints scale back slightly but still are supported. With Youth as its own landing experience on buckle.com, the need remained for an updated boy’s and girls’ style landing page along with secondary banners to be utilized through the seasonal refresh on the true buckle.com homepage.
